President, Stan Riddle
After a career in corporate real estate development, Stan Riddle moved to Green Valley from California in 1995. He and his wife, Nila, live in San Ignacio Ridge Estates, where Stan has served as President of their HOA. An active community volunteer, Stan has served as President of Green Valley Recreation and currently serves on its board. He has served as a Board Member and Treasurer of both the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation and the Community Performing Arts Center Foundation and as an advisor to the Green Valley Domestic Water Improvement District.
First Vice President, Eddie Peabody, Jr.
Eddie Peabody, Jr. moved to Green Valley in 2005 from Northern California. For 40 years, he served as a professional in Community Development for local governments in California and Arizona, as well as a private consultant. Eddie lives in the Las Campanas – Sonoma HOA. Currently, Eddie is the First Vice President of GVC. He previously held the position of Chair of the GVC Planning & Zoning Committee and the Chair for the Architectural Review Committee. An active community volunteer, Eddie served on the Green Valley Recreation as Vice President of the Board and as Chair of the GVR Board Affairs Committee.
Second Vice President, Kathy Simpson
Co-Chair, Health & Human Service Committee
Originally from Indiana, Kathy Simpson moved to Green Valley and Sonata HOA in 2006. Kathy served as Mayor of Venice, Florida, as well as that community’s City Council and Planning Commission. She also served on the area’s Noise Abatement and Tourist Development Commissions and the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council. Trained as a Speech & Hearing Therapist, Kathy is a member of the Rotary Club of Green Valley and has been active in a number of volunteer organizations, including the Mayo Clinic in Florida and has participated in five medical missions to Haiti.
Treasurer, Bill Copeland
A native of Illinois, Bill Copeland spent his career with the Boy Scouts of America in the Midwest. Bill and his wife, Carol, moved to Green Valley in 2002 from Naperville, Illinois where he served on BSAs National Staff. Bill was a Board Member and President of Canoa Seca Estates II HOA and has been a member of GVC’s Board of Representatives since 2005. Currently a member of the Rotary Club of Green Valley, Bill has been a Rotarian since 1979.
Corporate Secretary, Kathy Ingham
Kathy and her husband, Ken moved to Country Club Estates in 2004 from Reno, Nevada. Professionally she was the Director of Human Resources and the Director of two Customer Support Centers. Community service began as a teenager when she volunteered at the Army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. She also volunteered her time at the local schools and did their Community fundraising. Later, she worked with the Council on Aging on proposed programs for seniors living alone. She has served on her POA board for the last four years as well as the House committee. As President of the Ladies Association at the Country Club of Green Valley, she helped organize a benefit each year for a non-profit organization in Green Valley.
Member-At-Large, Pat Meyers
Pat and her husband, Bill Hannum, chose Green Valley as their ideal retirement community in fall, 2008. Coming most recently from Ohio, they felt fortunate to have lived previously in many places throughut the US, including Michigan, New York, Arizona and California. Her career as university professor, business consultant, and business school dean focused on marketing, fund raising, and educational administration. In active retirement, she serves as Medicare counselor and team leader at Pima Council on Aging, newsletter editor for Soledad HOA, and in several roles with Newcomers of Green Valley. She has also provided marketing assistance to area non-profits through a program sponsored by the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation.
Member-At-Large, Carl Schuster
Carl Schuster and his wife Sharon moved to Green Valley in 2005 from Michigan. They currently live in Canoa Seca Estates II. Carl spent over 36 years in private Law practice and as a Real Estate Broker. Since moving to Green Valley he served on the Board of Directors and as Co-President of Canoa Estates II HOA before moving to Canoa Seca Estates II currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors & President, as well as serving on the Median Green Board of Directors.
Member-At-Large, Susan Anderson
Susan retired from the U.S. navy in 2003 after serving in both enlisted and officer capacities. Accepting a position in the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive in 2003, Susan continued her public service with this office, wither her final assignment as Director of Strategy, Plans, and Policy until her relocation to Green Valley in 2007. Susan and her husband Gary live in Canoa Ranch and are both active in Green Valley community affairs. She serves on the GVC Planning and Architectural Committee as well as the Community Plan Committee.
Member-At-Large, Don Weaver
Don is a retired professional engineer who also holds a masters degree in public affairs. His 37 years of executive management experience include a variety of posts as CEO, president, general manager and member of some 14 boards of directors. Most recently, he was president of the Country Club of Green Valley. He has three children and seven grandchildren. He and his wife, Dee, live in Country Club Estates.
Past President, Russ Symes
Russ Symes has been a permanent resident of Green Valley since October 1998. Russ and his wife Helen live in The Greens HOA. A former teacher, Russ also sold and serviced sailboats. Russ has served as Director and President of The Greens HOA, as well as, Director, President and Executive Secretary on the Santa Rita Springs Master HOA. He is a member of the Camera Club, Computer Club, Wood Shop and the Green Valley Arid Garden maintenance crew.
Parliamentarian, Jack Ernest
Jack and his wife, Diane, live in Canoa Seca Estates Homeowners Assn. He has degrees in electronic engineering and math. During time as chief engineer for a communcations company and as president of his own business, he held various community posts as trustee, president, treasurer and parliamentarian. In Green Valley, he has enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, gardening, woodworking and board games. As a member of the design team for the Clay Studio, he was instrumental in developing the lighting system. He also helped develop the computer system and was active in repairing the various kilns. He is an active member of the Green Valley Marines, Marine Corps League and has served several years as their treasurer.
Executive Director/Directory, Sandi Richey
Sandi recently promoted to Executive Director in December 2008, has been with GVC since 2001 when she joined the Council as their “Jill of all trades.” Originally from Colorado, Sandi lives with her husband, Rich, in Desert Hills Estates HOA. Sandi taught high school science in a number of states and also has had a career in publishing and marketing. She loves to travel, work with Green Valley volunteer organizations and promote animal welfare programs.
